Goodbye 2015!

Hi,

Today is the last day of the year 2015
2015 for me was very unreal
I could have never imagined I would travel abroad
I always wanted to
But our family's not that rich to afford all the expenses
But somehow, I managed to get out
I can say that this year was  very important for me
For I became independent
Though I know I still have a long way to go
But this was like a milestone completed
Goodbye 2015!
I hope you all had a great year too
Let's open our arms to 2016
and hope for many more adventures

On my own

Hi,

For all of the times when I was in school and college
Everything was organised
I kept growing with each year as I completed my 1st class, 2nd class then 3rd and so on until graduation
The days went by as planned by the institute I was studying in and my parents
Now that I have graduated,
I have nothing to look forward to in my calendar
No deadlines
No submissions
Nothing
I'm on my own now
I'm my own master
I'm supposed to create something out of what I have been taught with; out of everything that I have learnt until now
I have a blank page in front of me
A blank space left to be filled in
I need to set up my own goals now
I need to make my own assignments
I need to check on myself
and evaluate and give grades to myself now
on my own
In this new year 2016
My life will change
for the first time ever
Because before this I always knew what was ahead of me
Also not to forget all of the support my parents and close ones gave me in school
But not from now
I need to support my own self now

My struggles *sigh!*

Hi,

So...
This is my 25th post
I'm still struggling with this  a little bit (to post something daily)
But I want to do this
I want to bring some consistency in my posts
I want to bring at least one thing in my life that remains constant
And that I'm happy about

So
I'm back home now for the holidays
And I'm not really up to doing anything special
All I do is eat and sleep all day
Yes... I'm going through those days :P
Even if I try and think of doing something productive
I just end up snuggling in my bed
May be because at the back of my head I know that I'm on a vacation
And my body doesn't want to struggle in getting up and doing any kind of work

Family comes first

I'm back in India
after 4 months
This is the first time ever I travelled abroad
Also on my own
I love my home country
And I'm enjoying being back home
No place in the world can be compared to one's mother's cooking
For me, my mom is the best cook in the whole world haha

And meeting everyone
I have learnt that family comes first
Your parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, relatives
No matter whether you like them or no
But the blood relations are the most important ones

Hi,

Sorry for not posting for a while,
I finished with my first semester of my masters course in graphic design
And I travelled to germany last night
So didn't get time to update.

I feel like the 4 months passed away real quick
Apart from the course in graphic design, I learnt a lot of other things about life, about me.
This is the first time ever I went abroad
And this is the first time ever I stayed away from home for such a long time
I had to manage so many things at the same time
From completing my assignments, meeting the deadlines, to going out and exploring this new city, cooking for self, taking care of the house, and so many other things.

And now that my semester is over and I'm going back home for my holidays
I feel like, I grew a little
If not much but a little bit definitely yes
I learnt more about my own self

And now that I'm going back home
I feel like I have left something behind, I have a life back there

Yes I know, I'll be visiting again to complete my course for the next sem
but it was a different life
I became a different person
And if you are reading this
I would definitely recommend you to travel
And by travel I don't mean to catch a plane or take a ride in the train
But to go to a place and live there on your own
Live a life in a new place
Where you have never been before
And where they speak a different language
You will learn so much more about yourself
And I can assure you that the experience will be definitely worthwhile
You will learn something from the experience which will help you grow as a person

How to control anger

Here is the best tip that I came across on the internet on how to control your anger

When you get angry and shout or argue with someone, those words that come out of your mouth are never forgotten.

After that, no matter how many times you make apologies or do sweet things, but the wounds of your words are never forgotten

So here is a very healthy advice that I want to share with you

Whenever you get angry

Try counting numbers in the descending order

This will calm your nerves

Lighting up Christmas Tree in Florence, Italy

Hi,

I attended lighting up of the Christmas Tree in Florence
This is my very first time abroad when I see Christmas
I come from India and I don't celebrate christmas back at home
Though many people in India do celebrate
But staying over here and looking at all this is a totally different experience for me

It was very crowded
Everyone was on the streets today
The whole city is lit up with different types of lights
I shall put pictures of these beautiful lights later in some other post

Today I want to share with you a video where you can see that I walk on the golden floor (well it looks like gold) and the parade that passed through the christmas tree to the other areas of the city
And also some pictures
I'm really sorry for the bad quality of the pictures
But don't blame me, I was too excited to see the big christmas tree and it was way too crowded so couldn't get a good angle

The tree has been put up in front of the main cathedral of the city - santa maria aka duomo
After the ceremony of lighting up the tree, a huge procession of santa claus came forward, and they distributed candies to everyone ^-^
Later, another parade passed through us
This one had people carrying flags of florence

Care Always

Hi,

So, one of my friends got upset with me few days back
And we haven't been talking with each other properly since then
We do talk, but there seems to be some coldness in between us
Basically, it's not like before

So, I decided to cheer up the situation by making something hand-made for her
The idea came naturally to me because I wanted to do something for her, so that we get back to track

And so here is what I did,
I picked up a maple leaf, painted it, and wrote a small message over it
I have explained a little bit of my process along with the images below

I'm supposed to give this to her tomorrow

I hope she likes it *fingers crossed*
